First Time Users On Android

Hi all my name is Kym and I have just purchased my first smartphone. I have the metro pcs Huawei Ascend. From day one i have had problems with this phone. my first problem and I see I'm not the only one is I can not receive or send picture messages, My second one is I can not access the mobile web. I can get on wifi but just the mobile web I can not do.
