Fitting new Touchscreen

[Android Question]

I fitted a new touchscreen to my Allwinner A13 Q88 tablet that is on Ice Cream Sandwich
Screen fitted and connected.
The tablet boots up to the padlock
I can use the touchscreen on the bottom like on settings
The padlock icon shows vibrations when touched coming off it but when I touch it to drag to open nothing.
Is there software like drivers or something that I am not doing.

No. I think either you didn't quite get the job done correctly or the digitizer is out as well.
