Root Fix for random reboot yet?

So I haven't been around for a good while and I was wondering if there is a fix for this random reboot issue that this phone has. I been on the Broken Out Spectrum 3.0 ROM pretty much since I got it and the random reboot issues is getting worst and worst. I know it has to do with data transmission. When ever I'm doing something the requires lot of data (in google maps for example), phone freezes and starts rebooting.
So is there a known fix for this? Maybe time to install a new ROM that fixes this?

Stock ICS (rooted but with locked bootloader) was very stable for me. In a little over 3 months I only had 2 reboots, both while using the stock browser.

CM10 is great and runs really smooth but I rarely make it 48 hours without a reboot.

You need to update to ICS. If you haven't previously taken the official OTA, you should flash the .cab to upgrade. That will solve a lot of your problems. The link for the .cab method is here and you can unlock your bootloader here.

Then, I would say either the debloated stock or Icy Fusion would be your best bet for stability right now. If you want a kernel with overclocking, I released an ICS OC kernel here.

tbh, I disagree with everyone here. I found stock gingerbread on V6 to be the most stable. I ran stock V6 for a couple months and never had any issues with reboots. Once I upgrade to V7 I started having issues my phone never had before.

Since you are already on Gingerbread young, maybe you should consider going back to stock V6 gingerbread and giving that a go for a couple weeks. Or perhaps you might want to try the ICS update and see if that works for you.

I have fixed three different kernel crashes that account for the great majority of kernel issues. I am confident that my kernel is pretty stable.

There seems to be two remaining issues:

The UI sometimes runs out of memory and restarts.

Occasionally something calls reboot unexpectedly. I think this is thermald but I'm not quite sure yet.

... And if you have reboots on ics or jb, dial back your max cpu speed. I've had to do that with every rom, except the recent aokp and cm10.

Why do I need to flash that .cab file? Can't I just flash new updated ROM?

Mostly because of the radio files. ICS came with some new radio files that improved reception significantly. You can't get them unless you flash the cab.

No, I packaged up all three baseband versions as flashable zips.

The thing we haven't figured out yet is gps.
