Root Fixed bobZ gps!!!!

Thx a ton for this. I can finally get back on cm10

EDIT: can someone test this on one of the ports with Pg's base please.

Wait I flashed it but I tried Google maps and the Gps test app and it didn't work. Any ideas? I'm on bobz latest with the new custom kernel and cwm 6. I also flashed modem c and an audio mod.

Not sure try doing it manually.. Have you done anything with any of the gsp files prior to this?
 
Okay ill try that and no I haven't. I'll also try the stock configuration. Btw do you get the Gps lock notification because I have never gotten it on any cm build for this phone.
 
Where did you place the stock gps configuration because it's not a .so file and I don't think it goes on the same folder that the op specified. Btw should I flash the op's zip and then put the Gps configuration in?

The gps.conf is a seperate file that goes in system/etc either rename existing and backup or overwrite it your choice. Just make sure your permissions are set correctly then either place the fix in manually or flash it. To be honest it really doesn't matter which order but let's just say do it that way.. Lol
 
Okay I did that and it still doesn't work for me but I did notice that there is a gps.goldfish.So in the hw folder. Should that be there? Could it affect this?

No it doesn't have anything to do with this.. I don't know what else to tell you to do. It worked instantly for me and I haven't heard of anyone else having any problems. You might have to factory reset and restore then apply file.????

Is your Wifi turned on(it isn't necessary but it helps get a faster lock the first time). Make sure if you do it manually and change permissions to reboot after.. Thanks it really was nothing.. Good luck let me know if you get it working..
 
Yes I tried it with WiFi and had no luck but I went to fix my call volume in the build.prop and usaw something about A-GPS and i remembered that I flashed the A-GPS fix a while back (ddidn't work obviously ha) but would that have an effect on my Gps working? Should I delete those lines in the build prop? Sorry if all my suggestions are dumb I don't know much about how gps works on this phone.
