FIXED: 'Home button closes apps on wake' annoyance

I recall in the early days of Jelly Bean roll out quite a number of you, presumably those who had their Screen Lock set to None like me, reported an annoying occurrence where when you pressed the Home button to wake the phone, doing so would close previously opened apps.

My S3 started doing the same recently after I disabled some apps/services from launching. Trouble is I don't know which particular items would trigger this so I did a Applications Manager | (left soft key) | Reset App Preferences and this fixed it. If this doesn't fix it for you, try powering down the phone and restarting.

Post back your findings if you have this problem and whether this step fixes it for you.

Jan Shim; I just registered to say, thank-you! I do know there an app that does this. After my last device reset, I started installing new apps and every now and then I tested it, till this morning. I had my doubts about Swiftkey, but I'm not sure. Your solution solved it so far. In my case, instead of |left soft key|, had to press "menu". I have tried to reboot the device (Samsung Galaxy S3, 4.1.1) to see if it closes the current app, and so far so good. pressing the home key should not close the current app on 'wake'. By that I mean; when the screen goes to sleep after timeout, it should just wake the screen to the app/screen you are currently at.
