Apps Fixing imagebuttons over a background image

I have a background image in linear layout and am trying to fix buttons over it at specific points,but i could not position it at specific points
 
LinearLayout does not allow you to specify absolute or relative positions for its child elements; it will only display them in a single row or column. Most likely what you will need to use is either a RelativeLayout or a FrameLayout. I'm leaning more towards FrameLayout as it will allow you to position items on top of other items.
