Fixing receiver, no sound

Finally got the first of my G1's.

Have a question.

One of the G1's I bought (used), was with a flaw that I knew. The receiver speaker doesn't work. There's sound coming from the phone's speakerphone if I set it to that option, but I can never get the receiver speaker to work (the one you put your ear on).

I knew in advance that the previous owner had dropped it, so I got this pretty cheap.

The phone is unlocked w/o tmobile's help, so I think that kind of voids this warranty no?

Anyway, the problem is about fixing this specific part. After dismantling the phone, anyone have any suggestions at all on how they would do a repair process with this problem?

Can you post some pics of the earpiece assembly and any cable/ribbon connector that way hook to it ... Close-UPS would be prefer
