Root Flash new ROM, Calibrate Battery ?

I'm debating trying GingerVillian once I've flashed it will I need to re calibrate the battery ?

dont flash it with the USB plugged in and you shouldnt have any battery issues. You can wipe battery stats via advanced menu in CWM before you boot then it should be fine after next full charge
