hi
i have this phone and it works great
but i have one thing
how cant i play flash videos (flv) in google.video or any other flash viewers websites ... although i can play videos in youtube !!

can someone help me here
 
I installed adobe flash player 10.1 on my phone and whenever i tried to open any site with flash material my phone freezed so i uninstalled flash player.
 
Sargun : that doesn't quiet help

there got to be some solution for this problem?
I mean how it can play youtube videos while it cant play others???

I tried to download skyfire browser 4.0 but it won't download onto my laptop as it takes me to Market if I want to download Android version then it says it is not compatible with S5570!!! Any further help on this please, I really want to watch Flash content. Thanks.

It works fine with gts5570 and you can play swf and flash content in any browser... To play flv file download QQ player from market...:):)

Thanks for the response. I know this is probably a really stupid question but I'm stuck now. I downloaded the file onto phone. I opened file and it installed but I cannot locate the actual application to open it - the download file is there but each time I open it it just re-installs and overwrites, so I have the install file but cannot locate or open the application.....any ideas please? Thanks again.

Just as an update on this....I installed Astro File Manager from Market as I thought that might open the Flash App, it sees it but when I select Open App Manager and then select Launch I get the message 'Activity not found - com.adobe.flashplayer'

Its not the app to play swf files, it is only a plugin that helps to play them. You can get SMart FLash Player, or SWF Flash Player (I guess they are free) from the market and then browse to your swf file within them and they will start playing it.. If you want to play a game search for some similar apps like FLashbox Pro, Flash Game Player, etc. THere must be many in the market (if not, few are available for sure).. All the best:):)

Don't know where are you doing wrong... Just install the above file as a normal app (note that it is just an apk file.) Then get yourself with a playing swf video/animation (not games, cause they are really hard to play becaus of lack of appropriate software, there are many but couldn't find one that is working well, if you found please post it here) and then run them with Smart FLash Player or SWF FLash Player (you can use other alternative app that you perfer, and again if you find better than these, post it back).:)

That's all!! Now you have tested it works, you can start with flash games.:)
 
ALso you can alternatively test if flash is working or no by trying to play a you tube video on your browser, it will ask to enable flash plugin (download button like symbol) and then play it when you enable the plugin.

ALso, don't forget to reboot your device after installing (that might help if it is not working)...:)

Hi that's a good idea but youtube is detetecting I am on mobile - so it is playing a different file not flash think it plays the .mp4 version

I have the italian gts5570 called "next" with no flash support

downloaded adobe 10.1 and installed still no flash on websites

installed dolphin and skyfire (which is asking to update thew video part w-which you have to pay for)

is there something else I can do to enable flash in a browser?

Did you used the flash from above or from somewhere else... please use the one from above it works. If you have swf files on your pc/sdcard you can play them with Smart flash player on your android smart phone.:):)
 
I have heard skyfire browser is good at playing flash videos (some say it works on galaxy pop, i wouldn't believe it unless seen by myself, you can give it a try by downloading skyfire browser from market). I think Upgrading to gb won't help for flash, it is something related with hardware --Arm6 Processor. But, its your choice and there is nothing to lose so give it a try.
