Help FLASH video player let down

What's with not being able to view flash video served up by the likes of the BBC using an HTC Legend/Android 2.2? I chose an Android phone over iOS when I heard that Apple wasn't ever going to support Flash. Adobe list every other HTC Android as far as I can see, but the Legend isn't supported.

Any workarounds suggested?
 
It seems as though HTC has cobbled together something (flash lite?) that renders some content but not all by a long stretch. When you buy something on the basis of misinformation like this it's very annoying.

It is very annoying, but also false marketing. Flash is very different from Flash Lite, not least from the point of usability for the customer/ability to access content on the internet.

I'm pleased you contacted HTC customer support, we should all have done this. "Truth in advertising" - an old concept but still something that gets forgotten about now and then.

I'm surprised they didn't make up some plausible sounding excuse for only having a Lite version (e.g. processor not up to a full implementation). Not that we would believe it!
