Root Flashed HTC Evo 4g (Boost Mobile) Root ?

Usually when your phone is flashed to Boost or Metro, etc, they have to root to accomplish this.

Do me a favor, pull the battery out then put it back in. Now hold the volume down button, then press and hold the power button simultaneously until a little white screen appears with Andy riding a skateboard. This is called hboot or the bootloader.

If you would please post back with what you see on this screen we'll be able to tell if you are still rooted.

More than likely they didn't unroot the phone.

I don't think flashing another rom will hurt, but I'm not 100% sure. The thread I linked above will have a ton of info for you, and as always, post up a question in that thread. The Boost flashed rooters will be able to steer you to the answers.
