Help Flashed to Cricket, now no mms

Hi again,
I bought myself a Samsung Galaxy SIII last Christmas and went with Verizon as my carrier. Since then I've moved and changed my carrier to Cricket. I took my phone in to a phone sale shop and they flashed my phone to Cricket. I've had a couple of issues since that I'm really hoping you can help me fix.
First, I can't send pictures through text. I can receive them fine, but if I try to send them the text fails.
Second, I consistently get a popup saying something like "Please wait while we initiate your phone for it's first use" and nothing I do gets me out of it. I just have to wait for the error message to pop up telling me it couldn't connect to Verizon.
Third, my phone just will NOT frellin' connect to my laptop. I'm on wifi, with both the laptop and the phone. I try the USB connect, nothing shows either in my phone notifications or on my laptop, though my laptop does give me a chime. I have downloaded the driver from the Samsung site, installed the driver, and it says it's installed, but still nothing. Deleted said driver, re-downloaded and installed. I decided to go the Helium route that someone on this forum mentioned, and Helium tells me I have to connect my phone to the computer, which I can't get it to do.
Despite all of this, I LOVE this phone, coming from a Huawei Ascend, but dadgummit I'd like it to work like I want it to.
Also, does anyone know which, if any, of the verizon pre-installed apps I can safely remove? Last thing I want to do is brick the dang thing.
I anxiously await your help. Thank you in advance!!!

Lots of views but not one reply. You can't tell I've actually stumped Android Forums, that hasn't happened once since I've been coming here! I realize it's heading into the Thanksgiving holiday, perhaps that is taking people's time away from here. I can be patient, as long as I know there's hope ....
