Flashes red lights and won't turn on

I have 2 LG Optimus F6's, one used to be my dads and since he got a new phone, he gave this one to me. It's been sitting in my desk for a while dead battery and unused. Today, I tried turning it on but I ran into a problem. It wouldn't turn on or even give the dead battery screen. I tried plugging it in and a series of colors flashed on the home button. First one green flash, then about 10 red flashes. Afterwards it wouldn't turn on even when unplugged and plugged back in. I tried removing and putting back in the battery and it just does the same thing again. I tried putting the fully charged battery of the Optimus F6 that I use into the non-working one, and I didn't get any response when plugged in. Please help, I planned to use this phone as a backup phone and that can't happen if it doesn't work.

Did you try to clean the battery contact pins on the phone with alcohol ?

Were you sure that the phone hasn't been previously dropped or damaged by water?

Yes I cleaned the pins using a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol, and I know for sure it hasn't been damaged by water

Try getting into down load mode with a pc, maybe you can try to unbrick it if you can get a pc to see the device. Load the drivers first.

The phone's not even on, so even when I plug it in and have the drivers, it won't detect it and let me access the files. The phone's not even rooted so I can't be bricked. It was working the last time it was used.
