Root Flashing a Theme!

Hey guys, just a quick question! you know when you go to download a custom theme it gives you a list of what its compatible with right(JV0,JS8 etc..) Is that your Build number like (Darkys v9.5.XWJS8) or is it your Baseband version(modem,I9000UGKC1) thanks guys!

Build number. Or PDA in Odin terminology.

Flashed that theme but the only thing i dont understand is why my status bar icon stayed the same? My mms chat part but keyboard stayed stock,settings menu, and stuff like that changed to the theme but not the status bar? any ideas! Im probably just missing a simple step!
