Root Flashing back to stock?

AndDude

Newbie
I am actually having to call Straight Talk to get another phone number temporarily and they are looking for a place where they can update something before we can continue? I have AreaRom3.1 on it. And I do not know how to flash it back to stock. Can you please help?

You need to flash stock os with root
Then img flash stock recovery
Then unisntall root

Or

Flash stock os without root
Odin flash stock recovery

Idk where to find this stuff

The link in the last post no longer works, I found a stock ROM on the AreaROM website but it is a bit glitchy. Market won't update to Google Play and I keep getting a talk auth error. Any help would be nice.

EDIT: Manually installed Google Play, but it won't download apps whatsoever, found out when I tried updating my apps. -Sigh- This is what I get for messing with my phone, even when following instructions....

EDIT once again: After doing a factory reset, Market upgraded just fine, and my problems are gone. For future reference to those with my problem, do a factory reset right after flashing stock ROM. That should have been step 1 for me, but it skipped my mind for some odd reason...

That's the first step after flashing any ROM. But I guess it should be included in all instructions for all ROMs, since not everyone is going to know that they should do it.

And thanks for the heads up on the bad link.

AndDude, I'm in the same position as you right now. I flashed AreaRom 3.? on my girls phone and she is complaining about it, so I'm gonna flash/odin her back to no-root stock & be done with it. I can't find the stock image anywhere either. I've had several people try to help me, but they all sent me to MegaUpload, which doesn't exist anyore. If you find the file first would you mind sharing it with me. Net10 Precedent. Thanks

its on androidarea51.com but its not got its own post. search for it

before you do that try following my directions for cm 7.1 i like it much better than ar
