Help Flashing black screen, Header flashes on and off

Working on my 3rd I2 and suddenly my screen goes black for about 3 seconds then comes back on normally, it will constantly do this like it there is something trying to access the phone....it also flashes the header of the phone when I am on the internet which makes me unable to type into the toolbar, again like a button is stuck or something is trying to access my phone..

it is unrooted as it came from VZ and I have cleared the cache, closed my wifi and gps and done everything that i can think of short of a complete system restart.

searching the forum hasn't turned up similar symptoms

first thing i would do is the OTA update. if that doesnt fix it then you will have to factory reset it. if that doesnt work then it may be a hardware problem. if youre still IW (in warranty), call HTC for a repair. how long has it been since you had your last replacement? you have 90 days to be IW from the day that you get any replacement phone from your carrier. hope this helps
