Alright, I see a bunch of tutorials on how to flash cm7, and they are all different.

Could someone give me a simple, step-by-step guide on how to flash cm7, starting from an unrooted MT4g?

I have the 2.2.1 OTA update

I assume that it would include a method for rooting, flashing clockwork, wiping data/cache, installing the rom.

I just want a simple guide in relation to the most recent software (Stock mysense 2.2.1 and CM7)

i took that leap 2days ago and it wasnt as hard as i assumed. i watched a video on theunlockr.com and it was actually too much to take in but, under the videos are step by steps. took around 30mins total to complete (temp root, perm root, flash)

After rooting you can use ROM Manager to get cm7. It makes it beyond easy. Premium does cost, but it may be worth it if you arent familiar with going through the process yourself.
 
Actually yeah, I was about to ask about ROM manager when it comes to flashing roms. Is it reliable, or is it less safe than doing it manually?
