So I bought a bad esn Sprint Samsung Galaxy s3 on ebay (probably a bad idea, I know). And I didn't plan on using it with Sprint so I thought that the bad esn wouldn't matter. I tried flashing it to PagePlus and Prepayd Wireless. But I had no idea that the bad esn would affect the flashing (or so I was told). So I contacted the seller and he told me that ," You get a cheap donor phone and use that phones ESN number that's how flash a phone. Its online you don't use the phones bad ESN." I didn't really understand him. So could you guys elaborate?
By the way this is my first post on here. :smokingsomb:

Hello and welcome Atomic Kittens.
Unfortunately, we cannot and will not discuss devices with bad ESN's.
I am sorry you bought the device but I would try to get your money back :(

@funky, an ESN is basically the devices ID number.
A cell phone can have a bad ESN/MEID/IMEI number for one of 3 reasons:

The phone was reported lost or stolen in the past.
The phone is still active on the owner's wireless carrier account.
There is money owed on the wireless carrier account to which the ESN/MEID/IMEI is connected.

Please p.m. me if you have any questions.
