Root Flashing rom

Hi, i am in need to unlock the phone, would flashing a BTU rom work?
The phone has a csc of O2U at the minute
Would it mess the phone up?

Did some research because i wasnt sure what you meant, i mean carrier unlock, it is locked to O2 UK and i would like to try and unlock it, if i flashed the unlocked firmware, would it unlock it or would it mess the phone up?

Now if you do a carrier unlock . the carrier will need to provide the unlock number for your device . you can pay for this code also
