Help Flashing Stock ROM

Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 (GT-i9300T Model) from Vodafone in Australia.I am wanting to flash an unbranded rom onto it using odin but I'm not sure of a few things. Will I be able to update my firmware normally without flashing it. Will I be able to use Kies. Also there is no GT-i9300T unbranded roms so I was looking at flashing a GT-i9300 rom instead. This will work fine right?

Unsure on the GT-I9300T thing sorry but from when I flashed an unbranded rom you will probably get the updates faster and will be able to update through kies.

For it to update through kies (and probably OTA) then your firmware, modem and CSC should all match up otherwise it'll class it as modified and won't update. But if you're ok with updating through odin then it doesn't really matter :thumb:

Thanks for the response. As far as I can tell the T just means that it is the vodafone branded version. Is there a way to change the Modem and csc if they don't match up?

Just had a gander at sammobile.com and the latest firmware for Vodafone Oz is I9300TDUEMC1.

Which is basically the same version you are looking at for the international (EMC1). The most upto date firmware for the international one is EMG4 but that's for Nordic countries.

Yeah from what I remember reading the T is more to do with the modem. Yeah you can also do a flash through odin for your modem, there is a big thread on xda for them.

For your CSC you can use the phones dialer to change it or there's an app on the app store for it but be warned, changing your CSC will wipe the phone!
