Help Flashing triangle

Over the past 3 days I've noticed a white flashing triangle in my notification bar a few times. I have not seen this triangle before this and I have no clue why it has started to appear. I have not installed or updated any new apps in a week. I'm not rooted either. Anyone have any insight into this?

Does it look like the triangle next to the "3G"? If so that's your roaming indicator.

Yes it looks exactly like that. I would think a big R would mean roaming and not that triangle. Thanks for clearing that up. Now you mention it I had bad reception the times I saw it.
