Flashingle charging symbol, but not that one.

So my battery symbol is at 81%, and keeps flashing the lightning bolt like it thinks it'seems charging. But it's not plugged in.

I have used a air duster to clean the charging port. But it continues to flash, and notify that it is charging. It will disappear almost straight away.

Any other thoughts as to why it's doing this?

Have you tried restarting or resetting the phone? Could be something just has gone funky with it, and a reboot might clear it?

Tried resetting, and restarting. Still persists. Bit of a head scratcher .

well if it annoys you to a certain point, then i would do a factory reset. if that does not work then it is not software, but hardware. not much you can do, but either live with it, get it fixed, or upgrade your phone.

I managed to "fix" it. I took the battery out, and sim out. Gave it a dust down, and couldn't see anything out of place. Put everything back, and it seems to be fine now.

Didn't really want to senth it for repaithe or get a new phone as it is only 6 months old.
