Flashlight App Permissions

Hi everyone. I am about to download a flashlight app called Brightest Flashlight Free and when checking the permissions it says it needs Your Location network based and GPS based. Why would a flashlight app need this? It does have good reviews and a lot of downloads. It doesn't look malicious, but I want to get good at knowing permissions to help me identify bad apps from good ones. Thanks.

this sort of thing worries me too, i looked for an app that didnt require such crazy permissions

The app might spamming per AirPush.

Maybe there is some about in the app's user comments.
