Help Flickr pictures always uploading as private?

I'm having some trouble uploading pictures to flickr. Under the "Who can see these photos?" menu, I select "Public (everyone)," but when I look at the pictures on the flickr site, it has uploaded them as private. I'm just using the regular "Share --> Flickr" option in the gallery.

Is there something wrong with the software on my phone or did I somehow make flickr think that everything I upload from my phone should be private no matter what option I select?

It's not you. And it's not Flickr.

On Wednesday, I arrived in Las Vegas and I shot a picture at the airport. I 'shared' it with Flickr as usual and it landed there as public.

(Public is my default on Flickr website and in phone sharing settings)

When I got to the hotel, there was a note on my phone that there was a software update. I got onto WiFi and said 'go ahead and update'.

Every picture after that - with NO settings changed - landed in Flickr as Private.

No matter what app I use to 'share' the photo from the phone - camera, gallery, etc- it's loaded as private. And, yet, when I got to Flickr website and upload, it respects the default of public.

SOOOO The phone update is the villain. I sure hope someone fixes it soon.

I just tested by sending from phone gallery

This is driving me absolutely crazy.

I have now completely disassociated Flickr from EVO and then logged back into Flickr from EVO, thereby reassociating it.

Both phone and Flickr are set for PUBLIC as default and public is selected for every upload and every upload is private.

Where do I even start to look for a fix?

I know this is an older post but I am having the exact same problem. Does anyone else have a solution to this? Using EVO 4G Android 2.2 and the stock Gallery program.
