Help Flikr v Photobucket?

Hiya,

I've had a Desire for nearly a year now and am thinking of using it to upload photos to maybe Flikr or Photobucket.

A couple of questions though!!

First, I kinda remember some posts last year about Flickr causing, I think, memory usage problems and battery usage issues - is this still the case or have these been ironed out now? I haven't got a Flickr account atm but guess I could set one up.

I've got a photobucket account though and have seen there's an app so you can upload to the site however the feedback is that you can't uninstall it easily and that it takes over your phone!!

I only want to upload the occasional photo, not all those that I take and the option from photo gallery on the phone to share only those I want to on Flickr seems kinda appealing?

What are your views on the best option to go for?

Also, while connecting me Desire to a PC to download photos isn't a problem as I like to print out quite a few of them, is there any quality loss if I do upload to a pic sharing site and then maybe print them from there?

I use the photobucket app. Ive successfully uninstalled it before, but to clarify, I am rooted.. You can share directly from a gallery view, menu > share >photobucket.

It hasn't taken over my phone so not sure what those reviews are talking about.


Quite frankly, I think the application is brilliant.
