Help Flip case magnetic closure

So I was looking around for a flip case and I found out that most if not all use a magnetic closure. Now my question is, wouldn't a magnetic closure be bad for the internal compass?

Well.. About to ask the same thing.. I've google some info n most likely it will messed up your compass (even if i dun use it) and drain battery.. But i think that's from a motorola droid.. So anyone using magnetic closure flip case?
