Help Flip Clock Weather Not Updating

I'm not 100% sure but if i have mobile data off and background data off even on wifi my weather apps won't update. I tried it with weatherbug elite and it lost my current location and when i tapped refresh it wouldn't. But when I turn background data back on (and leave mobile data off) it works again.
 
Yeah its odd. The widget and notification bar icon for the weather app wont work with the background data off but if i open the app itself on wifi then i can get the right location/update but widget doesnt update. Never really noticed that before since i leave all that junk on and dont bother with it.
 
Do you have the 2GB plan? I used 40MB in a few days just waiting for the sideload update (WiFi had to be off).
 
I have the unlimited plan on all my inspires.

My cousin had the 2gb plan and generally used about 1gb or less a month and left background data on but turned auto sync off. And set any app or widget to manual sync
 
Do you truly have unlimited? Like could you download 5 movies in a day over the network and not be charged extra?

Well the fine prints limits it to 5gb a month before they say they can then decide to throttle back your connection or whatever but I haven't run into any issues. My husband had an iphone with unlimited and he watched netflix all the time then our daughter would be streaming netflix on it too and we never got charged extra for anything over. I think its if you are constantly doing it and they notice it they might try to "punish" you or just accused you of tethering. So once month I might use 1gb but the next if I'm traveling more so on mobile data more I could use 5 or a little more.

how much is it for the unlimted plan?
 
the weather update fines for me on wifi. just backround shit has to be turned on. other then that it dosent matter to me. lol
