Help Flytouch 3 Android 2.2. Superpad III problems connecting wifi - Virgin Media

Recently brought a Flytouch 3 2.2 Android Superpad. Cannot get it to connect to my wi fi with Virgin .
It automatically connects to wifi shows I'm connected excellent signal 54Mpbs but when I try to browse internet or access apps says 'No network connection'.
Have tried with other networks namely BT Sky & Talk Talk & it works like a dream. It would seem it is a setting somewhere in Virgin router I can access settings to router. I have a modem and a D-Link DIR615 router
I'm not to au fait with the tekkie side of things but have tried loads things I've read or been told to try. I've tried resetting tablet, reset router, changed last digits of IP address, entered details manually on tablet. Disabled Windows Connect box, Tried Static IP -Changed channelsw from 1 - 11 and nothing works.
Incidentally on one random occassion I switched on and it worked !!! dont knbow why hadent done anything was able to access internet, download apps etc etc had about 4 hours use went to bed next day nothging and notging since. It isn't my connection as all other devices work incl android phones, It isn't the tablet as it did work once and works fine other places other nwtworks, so what is it that I'm missing.
I've seen loads posts all over the internet people with same probs with Virgin but cant see a solution Virgin not very helpful said they dont support tablkets etc but will tell me how to do it for a fee of
