Help Flytouch 3 problem

Gpsjeeper

Lurker
Hi all
I recently purchased an Ibex flytouch 3 (32GB model) from Chinagrabba.
I mainly wanted this to use as a large screen GPS when out four wheel driving. I downloaded the program "Oziexplorer" to the SD card and successfully installed it on the device. It worked perfectly
, so I paid for the full license. It worked perfectly for about a week and now, it will not load from the card. I have tried 3 different top quality cards with no success. I have uninstalled and installed it numerous times again with no success. I have also re-formatted the cards. I have also discovered that the camera will not work, the sound recorder won't work,
and I cannot load the gallery. All these apps say that they can't access the SD card.
Does anyone have an answer to this. Could the device be faulty or could I have done something wrong.
I can access the sd card via the "My pad" app and downloaded ebooks and videos work well.
Help please.

I guess it depends on what kind of 4 wheeling you do, but a FT3 or really any China pad may not be the best choice. These are not shock protected devices. My guess not having seen it is probably the camera ribbon may have come loose. Maybe dust inside the SD port?

Having a few problems at one I would first recommend re-flashing the tablet. If that doesn't work you will want to open the tablet and check all the connecting ribbons. first you would nee to contact Chinagrabber and get permission to do so, that way you will not void your warranty. But I would tell them the video keeps flashing on the screen like something is loose.

If app wise just the one app is having problems, I would go in after uninstalling it and find any related folders and delete them, then try reinstalling. Gallery might not be working because of the camera.

HI all,
I worked out the problem. I googled the problem and I found the "apad TV" site. They recommended re-flashing the device with the latest firmware. This firmware was the same as mine anyway but mine must have been currupted in some way. I did as instructed and everything worked fine.
I hope this helps others if they have the same problem.
Time will tell if the flytouch stands up to the punishment. My cheap Chinese 7" Gps has been brilliant , giving 3 years of faithful service under the toughest conditions in a competition Jeep CJ7.
Anyway, thanks to Rabid 1

Having survived the California Rubicon I say good luck to you and your pad!:p

Hi Rabid1,
It would be my dream to drive the Rubicon trail. I envy you.
Steve.

It was in an old Cj7 that didn't have more than 10 inches of solid frame, it had been welded and rewelded so many times. Probably didn't go more than 50 miles and hour top end but could climb vertical glass. The time we went they said my buddy probably set the record for number of rolls but still made it to the end. LOL Sadly it didn't survive his 16 year old son taking it out for a joy ride and disintegrating it on the freeway.

That year parts of the trail were closed from erosion so we went from Georgetown and cut over to camp in Desolation then got back at Loon Lake and went the rest of the way up. I have never been that hardcore of a 4 wheeler but it definitely is something you should do once if you can. If your rig isn't right for it there used to always be people looking for spotters during the Jamboree
