So.

HI!!!

How I ended up here is actually an interesting story, if one is interested by such stories.

My dad is a devoted Apple slave: for the last two years he's been bragging about his wonderful iPhone, iPad, MacBook, etc. When I finally had a chance to get my own smartphone, being somewhat wiser in the workings of beeping stuff, I grabbed an Atrix 2. I'm hoping to prove to both him and me that an informed owner of an open-source Android is better equipped than someone awed by Apple's shininess and automatic cross-device syncing.

(Also I'm a dirt poor college student and he has a job -> paycheck -> money, and it seems like Android has more awesome free stuff, and PCs are cheaper than Macs.)

So here I am, after the first month of my shiny Atrix 2, because a month of fiddling has left me confused and in need of advice.

Welcome to AF! I can understand your plight. I made the jump from iOS to Android a month or so ago, and haven't looked back. olbriar's got you all linked up with the area where the Atrix2 peeps tend to gather so I'll say thanks for climbing down the rabbit hole and pausing by this branch long enough to say hello after signing up.
