is there an app or setting by which i can embolden text globally on my phone?

often....too often....i cannot read the light grayscale text that shows up. some renderings are worse than others.

i'm not even sure of the search term i should be using to look into it.

i have this problem on all my devices. i know it is simply that i dont see all that well, but hopefully i can have boldface or something be the default rendering.

Isn't there a font setting in the phone? Just change it to a different one that's easier to see. There are also font apps on the Market that adds new fonts. Just choose one that's boldened and you're good.

hey, thanks for the response.

i don't see anything in settings other than to change the size of the font, but that is not my issue. my issue is the poor grayscale.

i downloaded a font installer, but truth be told i couldn't figure out the app. ill take another look at it and if not i'll try another one.

the grayscale i'm talking about is....when i am in one of my newsreaders for instance. the title of an article is easily read, but the snippet under it is pale grayscale that i cannot read.

and sometimes if i click on a link, it takes me to a rendering of text that is difficult to read. not sure if it the browser...or the website that it takes me to. hope this makes sense.

cannot post a screenshot at the moment.

It's probably the way the websites have been done, and the browser just renders it as per the HTML. If it's an accessibility issue, maybe worth emailing the webmasters, site owners and/or site devs, see if they can do anything about it. Chrome browser has an accessibility slider for text size, but not text colour.

dont know why web sites and developers thing pale blue/light grey text is good.

maybe it's just my aging eyes, where subtle color contrasts are not easily processed. i found a chrome extension that helps a bit on my laptop, but it is not perfect.
