Font Locale

It takes time to answer (4 views is a bit less ;) )

the /system/fonts folder is you want to chnage fonts globally
You need Root Privileges to change the fonts

DroidSans.ttf,DroidSans-Bold.ttf and Clockopia.ttf are the font files .

So if you want to use custom .ttf (xyz.ttf) ,make sure it has a bold version .
Make two copies of xyz.ttf, change the name of DroidSans.ttf,clocopia.ttf
and change xyz_bold.ttf to DroidSans-Bold.ttf
Copy and replace the three files to /system/fonts folder and do a hot or full reboot.

Or use ROM ToolBox ,it has a font changer and nice collection of fonts . :D

Can you not just download a font from the computer and extract it onto the phone? That's what I was planning on doing

Let me begin once again .More clearly albeit :p

A.)Download ROM Toolbox .Download the fonts using the Font installer option (They are 200+ fonts available .) apply fonts .Be happy .Simple .Easy .

B.)
download the font to computer .copy to sdcard (Say ComicSans.ttf )
Make two copies in the same folder .ComicSans.ttf, ComicSans1.ttf, ComicSans2.ttf
Rename them DroidSans.ttf,DroidSans-Bold.ttf and Clockopia.ttf .
Use Root Explorer ,File Expert ,ES File explorer and replace the files in /system/fonts with the newers one .
Reboot Phone .
new font is applied .

C.)Hybrid method
Download ROM ToolBox
Copy desired font from computer to /sdcard/romtoolbox/fonts/previews folder
Apply using ROM Toolbox option .
