A little sleuthing around...

Apparently, ifixit bought a Nexus One, received it, and promptly voided their warranty by opening it up!

Page 2, they show the RF chip is the Qualcomm RTR6285

Datasheet http://www.datasheetarchive.com/pdf/Datasheet-024/DSA00418656.pdf here shows that this chip is capable of:

North American Bands II,IV,V (1900,1700,850)
Japanese UMTS Bands I,VI,IX (2100,800,1800)
EU/CN/ROW UMTS Bands I,III,VIII (2100,1800,900)

As well as GSM/EDGE 800/900/1800/1900


So...... someone remind me why NA bands II and V were left out of the radio firmware?
