when compiling that list were they also comparing the HTC ReZound and the G Nex?

I believe this is the direct link with respect to what the article was referring to:
Best 5 cell phones - CNET Reviews
Just as I was about to send it to all my Apple FanBoy friends with a na na na na na note, I read the actual article.
Although the Razr is 4.5 stars and the Apple 4 stars. it does qualify that by labeling the Apple "Best smartphone for media" and the Razr "Best dual-core phone with LTE" which is not completely consistent with the statement that Razr was ranked higher than the iPhone 4s.

.They also rank the Razr as the best overall smartphone. Also, they gave the Galaxy Nexus 4 stars so the Razr is the highest ranking phone of the year for them.
As far as the Razr & Rezound, the Razr display looks worse the more I compare them side by side. But:
1. Sean76 is right, the Rezound gets warmer/hot in 4G mode. Where the Razr pipes the heat through the display, the Rezound seems to bottle it up.
2. The Rezound's super sexy display appears to have touch response issues with virtual pad controls in emulators like N64Oid and Tiger Arcade.
Dang though, the Rezound display is a amazing and the Razr display is not.
Case in point:

Seriously who the heck looks at their screen with a microscope? The Razr screen looks awesome to me. If I want to look at pixels, I'll boot up Photoshop.
