For all those wondering if HTC is going to give us an update for 780p video recording

I email HTC to ask if us Incredible owners will get a software update for 780p video recording and this is what they emailed me back:

Hello Craig, I understand your interest in the 780p video capabilities. At this time, we do not have any information whatsoever as to whether or not the Incredible will be receiving an update that updates the video standard on the device. Nothing has been announced yet regarding an update that will do this, but neither has it been ruled out. By the time HTC comes out with an official update I'm sure the Devs (keeping my fingers crossed) will have root and will have created some great Roms to play with. I wouldn't be surprised if the Devs get the 720p working.
 
They're not going to release any info until its officially announced (if at all)

Yeah, I'm not surprised... It might have been a $7/hr CSR on the front line as far as we can tell :)

Bottom line: CALL HTC and DEMAND 720 recording now! :D
 
Well, when HD recording eventually appears as a feature and the aspect ratio is off we will know who to blame. :-)

Wait, you wanted 720p? We had plans for 720p until we got this email back in May and we switched to 780p since we though that's what you wanted. Sorry!
 
780p WOULD BE KILLER!!!! if it existed, its cool though OP let us know if you ask about 720p

Lol ok you guys got me. I made a mistake lol. In all seriousness though we should all write to HTC about an update for 720p recording. Maybe they will get the hint.
