Just a few tips that seems to have helped my Samsung Transform in this week long journey of forums... *note: i have not rooted. i am on 2.2 on basic launcher (now) and removed all my widges (for now)
-clear all caches in all apps (perhaps there are some that should have been kept, maybe someone will chime in, but in my frustration cleared them all)
-remove any fishy apps
-uninstall any apps that boot on startup
-moved any music, photo, game apps to sd card that would let me
-to stop seemingly pointless vibrations go to Animations in Settings->Display->Aimations to "No Animations"
-go to the browser app, hit Menu->More->Settings and clear Cache, History, Cookie Data and Form Data."Accept cookies" and "Remember form data" should be checked. Similarly, you may have to clear your call logs and SMS history logs from time to time if there seems to be a lot of data
-if running a FB widget, try launching the Facebook app from a shortcut icon instead.
-i changed my synch on FB and gmail to 1hr intervals and this helped tremendously!
-<back> key instead of hitting home (i knew this but some may not, it turns off most apps instead of home key leaving app multi-tasked in background)
I really hope this helps someone else, kind of a "pay it forward". Extra special thanks to rbasusparky for helping me get here. My phone was painfully slow and I had read so many forums but still had little success. If you would like to read the thread on us arriving at these solutions check out
