Is the Ally a non-android phone? I am looking for a good used non smartphone to put on a 3rd phone line on my Verizon account. Unfortunately, if I change that line to a data line - which I must do if I put a smartphone on it - then I lose my unlimited data grandfathered from my previous contract. Long winded, sorry, but let me know about the ally and if it is a data/smartphone. Thanks!

EDIT - a quick search tells me it is a data/smartphone. Won't work for me. Thanks anyway.

If the 3rd line is the one with the grandfathered data line, you can activate a new phone to it and keep it.
I've done it a few times since they got rid of the unlimited data plan.
(LG Ally -> Droid X2 -> Droid 3 -> Droid 4)
