For those having problem sharing wifi using adhoc network

Hi all,
I might be out of place but i have something to share...recently got Samsung galaxy ace ..I have a broadband dongle(Tata Photon) on my Lenovo laptop...I wanted to share this Internet using windows 7 adhoc wifi sharing onto my new Android phone....I went through the net but couldn't get through...I tried Connectify as well but the latest version(ver 2.**) was not getting installed along with the Dongle...Finally the solution was in using the OLDER version(ver 1.***) of Connectify.

Still not working for me.. I saw a ray of hope there when you said it'd work with older version.. I'm trying 1.2.. my phone still won't detect the AP. Are you using the same version?

but new device is unable to detect the ap
