Help Force close and resets

I get the error message "com.motorola.home.other" numerous times throughout the day and cant seem to figure out why. Im running ADW Ex and have never had a problem. Had it on my X as well and no problems either. I have widget locker and I still get the same prompt rather I use WL or not.

My other issue is my phone will reset when I go to look at my photo gallery. I can scroll up for a second or two then the phone will freeze and reset. EVERY TIME I got to my pix. :confused:

I dread doing a factory reset but that seems to be the catch all when you can figure out the issue. Both issues occurred before AND after the last update. Any incite to what causes these issues? Ive lerked on the forum but no luck with that either.
 
Goto Settings | Apps | All | com.motorola.home.other and clear data and cache. That often clears up FCs with launchers. This may be related to your gallery app problem as well.
 
Tried to find it in ALL apps but it was already gone from the list. I reset the phone as well and the first thing that popped up was that that program has stopped unexpectedly.

Look for something with launcher (I believe ADW es EXLauncher in the list) in the name there. You could also check under running apps.
 
I saved my ADW settings and reset the program. I also closed it to see what that did. I dont get the unexpected closure prompt but Im still unable to view my gallery. The phone continues to reset when I go to view them.

OK, I have a couple of retired Moto's at home. I'll check them out when I get home from work and get back to you.

Sounds good! I appreciate all your help! Could this be a software issue or phone issue? Should I bother with calling VZW about getting a new phone? Itll give me an excuse to get the Maxx :D
 
I think its an issue with my memory being bad. I am 99% sure you need to clear data and cache. I just have to see how they are named on the moto devices (they change across skinned devices).
 
I think I may have figured out the error prompt. I had a sticky note on one of the home screens. Sometimes it wouldnt load correctly so I deleted it off the screen and so far so good. Still no luck on the picture library though lol
 
I may have narrowed down the reset issue. Motocast has the small logo at the top of my gallery and since then its always reset when I open the gallery. Anyway to get that off my gallery? Ive tried to uninstall the program but no luck. Any suggestions?
 
Sticky note widget in my case in conjunction with Go Luncher EX. Removed that widget and the FC is gone. Thanks for the idea man.
