Help Force mobile websites?

Being only a 7 inch slab, I was hoping the Nexus would automatically load mobile versions of websites but I am finding most websites load the full versions, which often means panning and zooming.

I notice that in Chrome's settings, it has a checkbox to request full desktop sites but it seems to be doing that anyway.

Any way to force the mobile sites?

you can use a different browser. However, I have absolutely no issue with chrome loading mobile websites (I wish I could just default everything to desktop since most mobile sites are really bad and a full version easily is viewable on 7 inches). It is extremely possible the site you are trying to visit does not have a mobile version associated with the site.

I prefer to stick with chrome because of the sync feature.
It's strange some are getting mobile versions though.

Techradar, Engadget, BBC news, computer and video games, n4g are just a few examples of sites that do have mobile versions but are giving me desktop sites on the nexus.
All the above give me mobile on my phone though.
Only site I can think of that is giving me the mobile version is Facebook.

Having said that, it's not so bad since I found out I can switch to landscape view :-)

There's an option in the chrome browser in the right hand top corner. Tap it and there's some options. It'll say force desktop/mobile site i think!
