well when i work in front of a computer all day, how can i not post from work
happy early birthday to her! i have 5 birthdays in march i have to remember. daughter, mom, uncle, and 2 best friends (that i can think of off the top of my head), my sister in april, dad in may, nephews in june and then i get a break til nov!

So Yeahha, how good is the amazon prime streaming? What stuff is on there?
I was thinking of rooting/roming to have a nice little tablet, but I want to keep the ereader stuff (which is easy). I'm just wondering if my idea may mean that I lose out on other cool stuff. Does sideloading work for most stuff?

Sideloading has worked for everything I have tried. I assume it wouldn't work for anything with DRM obviously. Prime steaming is nice. They have a lot of the same stuff as netflix but some things they have netflix doesn't and viceversa. The launcher is completely changed and if you are on the stock launcher and prime you also get a free book a month which is a plus (from a limited library of course and you have to return it to get a new one next month...). My friend rooted his to put the market on it then let it update and it kept the market so that may be an option. I've noticed amazon streaming works better on it than netflix (less issues buffering)
amazon does work with the roku. dont think you get a free month for it though. only the KF.

I went to the amazon prime site and it was talking about a free month for it, I didn't read closely though. So I could be mistaken that I am eligible. But if I am, I can try it out for both my KF and roku. This sounds like fun.
Can you check and see if the old Doctor Who series are on that at all? I already have netflix, but if it had more stuff I wanted, I would switch. I remember flipping through the amazon channel on my roku and seeing old Who episodes, but I am not sure that they are in with the streaming. That would be a big factor for me.

That's the new series. I meant the old ones from the 60's-80's. But good to know it has the same ones as netflix.
I didn't look...that was the first one I saw...you can browse prime instant streaming without having it
Looks like anyone can get a free month, I will probably try it out tomorrow.
Also, looks like my forum game was a flop....

Also, after some digging they do have some of the older seasons on there as well (it looks like more than netflix).
