Ah, okay.

Yeah, I saw that there were some non-sense ROMs for it already, but I will probably stay stock for a month or 2. I hear the new sense in 4.0 is better, we will see.
 
I saw something a while back saying HTC was gonna try to slim down sense but I don't remember where or if it was true. I would surely try it out for a while first before going AOSP...I started on an AOSP phone so it is hard to deal with OEM UI ;)
 
Yeah, the phone I have now was basically AOSP 2.2, but it had a bit of bloatware added. I am running CM7 on it now.

Yeah the OG droid was AOSP but had some bloat but no OEM UI...the D2G was tainted with some god awful version of Blur...The TB had Sense but I dealt with it for about 2 months...
 
Yeah, my brother has the droid3 (and I think had the droid2 as well) so I have messed with that some, but not that much really. I'm okay with trying them out, as long as I have other options if I so desire. And with Android you usually have options (even if it is keep the OEM UI, but us a different launcher to hide it, but usually you have more than that).

I am in a social group all by myself... Android Forums - Exterminate!!! :rofl:
 
I only joined a social group to see if posts in there counted...they don't....

Moto and their locked up bootloader pissed me off with the D2G...when I rooted the TB and it was so nice and easy to be able to flash roms with recovery I was so happy
 
Yeah most new HTC phones you can...even with that there are some restrictions like you can't flash new radios not sure what else. The TB was before HTCdev I don't know if it is supported now or not.
 
I haven't looked into radios, but it seems that the custom recovery/rooting/ROMs are pretty easy to do. But it's at an early stage for most of that so I would wait a little while.
 
Yeah as to be expected with a new phone...I think that with htcdev unlock you are limited to only official signed hboot zips for certain things. On the TB you had to flash radios in hboot you couldn't flash them via recovery at all...on the OG droid and the Gnex you can flash them in recovery
 
Yeah, I'm not too worried about it. It'll have ICS and 4g (both of which I currently don't have).
There is always something annoying, doesn't matter what phone it is... but for what I will be paying it will be well worth the price.
 
Yeah I hear that. I thought there was CM9 for the V out for some reason...bunch of you V users in FG and the lounge for some reason :eek:
 
Well, the Triumph has CM9, but the camera doesn't work, so I stick with CM7 because I like to take pics of my daughter. The OV has a CM9 ROM as well I believe, but I'm not sure. That one is my wife's phone and she could care less what ROM it has on it.
 
Yeah, it's listed in my devices though. I guess I should qualify my statement it has ICS where all the stuff works (camera, HWA, HDMI out, etc) which I don't currently have.

I am bored . Really bored . I blame Samsung . I have to purchase a laptop . I am bored to deal with inept guys . No new RTS games .No Supreme Commander,Dawn of War,Rise of nations sequel .
