Forum Gamers Lounge

Pretty much the same, except I have 2 local stations, one happens to be NPR though and i don't listen to it for music. I love podcasts while driving.

I listen while driving, at work, and when on the forums at home. I've cut down on my 60 hours a week of podcasts

Oh yeah! Yeahha likes the pogues! Any disc in particular? I really enjoy Red Roses and If I should fall from grace with god....
EDIT: Oh yeah, AC13 is into FM! Dang, these FGer's just keep getting better!
My radio stations play the real popular dribble that I don't enjoy.

Here's my musical tastes:
punk (and several derivatives)
Indie rock, alt rock
lounge
folk
bluesy bomb tracks and experimental (ie: tom waits et. al)
classic rap (wu tang clan, nwa, and lol fresh prince! ;))

@ 9to5 - Check out Okkervil River, they started as kinda alt-country, but have gotten more rock/pop/indie mix in there on the newer stuff. It is all good.

Yeah, same here. I like a lot of the same stuff you mentioned.

You like Flogging Molly?

Yeah, one of my favorite songs would have to be devil's dance floor.

I like American, English, and Irish folk music.

I don't know any of their albums...:o I like what they have done with the dubliners probably one of my favorite songs being rare ole mountain dew...solo stuff I would say pair of brown eyes and dirty old town...Fairytale of New York has to be my favorite christmas song :D

I am pretty big into folk as well, I kinda fit it into singer/songwriter when I am asked what I listen to though. ;)

I think playing guitar made me start liking folk as much as I do. I perfer to play acoustic and power chords don't sound all that great without an amp and some distortion. Pink Floyd is fun to play acoustic too :D

^ That's funny, because I love playing punk songs acoustic. Of course, playing songs with open chords is also fun.

Wow, look at this great music discussion we just had.

Okay, movies:

Cult Classics or Blockbusters?

One more thing with the music discussion. I heard Fun. the first time the other day.

Fun.

They have some queen and Elton John inspiration you can listen to their entire 2nd CD on the site. You might like it.

I don't watch many movies...I tend to watch anime a lot...

You guys listen to dropkick murphys at all?

Also, yeahha, you should check out the FM song "Seven Deadly Sins" one of my favorite.

Yeah I have listened to dropkick murphys and I have heard seven deadly sins [sings "We are seven drunken pirates we are seven deadly sins..."] as well...I may have heard about every FM song...

Yay time to leave work...

@AC13 what podcasts to you listen to?

Tolkien Professor, The Nerdist, WTF, Hardcore History & Common Sense (both by Dan Carlin), Star Talk, Doug Loves Movies, and a few others. Got any good recommendations? I listen to some NPR shows that I like if I miss them as well Car Talk, etc...
