well since you work nights thats completely understandable! i loved working nights when i was in the military. got off work at 1030-11 and was at the bar right after (it was on the way home :)) didnt have my daughter to worry about then so i had all the time to do what i wanted!

I usually have some beer after work but never go to bars...I work near a college and all the bars are hipster BS...

the bar i went to was a dive bar. it could get crowded some nights but i knew everyone there. usually went to shoot pool and have a beer or two (back when i was drinking beer)

We have an Irish pub about a mile and a half form my house. It is run by a few folks that are actually Irish, so it isn't a lame sports bar with Guinness and sweet potato fries.

i'm sure it'll be packed saturday!

the bar i go to usually has snowbirds (old people who drive south for winter...Canadians, WA, OR, etc...) and is pretty empty from may-oct except for the local old people

Yeah, they are having some Irish bands (mostly folk I think), but they don't do any of that green beer crap. There are a few other "pubs" around town here, but they are all those Americanized ones that do silly stuff on St. Patrick's Day.

I refuse to go to a bar on St Patrick's Day. I did go into NYC one year to see Celtic Women though. Simply amazing.

It's so nice to be sitting at a desk where I can see a little of the sunlight outside if I crane my neck up enough on a nice day like today...
