Help Forwarding Voicemails to email

Captain Sexy

I need to forward a few voicemails to my email but they keep showing as QCP files and I can't play them from the computer. Any suggestions on how to get them forwarded in a normal file?

Thank you,

You could use Google voice. This will not only forward your voicemail to your email but will also transcribe the voicemail with speech-totext feature. So you can read your Voicemeails too.

Be advised though -- This can be a fun experience because some of the transcription can be wrong at times. This could change the whole context of the message :)

Just a suggestion, I don't know if it will work. Someone in another thread said that they changed the file extension of a file that the voice recorder created to .mp3 and it worked on a computer afterwards. I don't know how the voicemail file relates to audio files. I just thought I would suggest that.

After a little more research I found that that doesn't work. Someone posted this on another site.

To play QCP file on your computer, you will need to convert QCP to MP3/WAV or other audio formats supported by your computer. You will need a QCP to MP3/WAV converter to help you. Type How to Convert QCP to MP3, WAV, WMA on Windows or Mac in Google to find the tool and the detailed guide to help you.

How did you forward them to your email in the first place?

click the menu button, click forward, click either mms, or email, then I email them to me, then I went to the computer and moved it to the desktop, then changed the .mp3 then re emailed it to the people I needed too, and then posted it to a system to keep track of it.

I'm not quite following. What menu button are you referring to? Are you using an app or a website to get to it? The only way I know to access my voicemail is to dial it.

The button to the left of the hard home button. I have visual voicemail, so that's where I'm doing it. You can also long press the voicemail it self.

Not sure if there is a way to do it without visual voicemail. Sorry.
