Root Found the Kernel

Again thanks to Nickrussel and his app finds. I found through the "Any cut" app. Do this: short cut > activity > sysdump. It allows you to run dumpstate/logcat, copy kernel log to sd card, copy to sd card (guessing this is for sys dump), disable debug log, ram dump mode disable, and exit. So I think with this we could make a custom kernel :D.

Silvist: Could you dump and post that kernel? I made a leap of faith with ClockWorkMod kernel and am stuck at the CWM recovery (2.5.1.0) screen with volume up/down buttons not working. Not technically a brick but effectively, it is... :( Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Dont forget, try the Keyboard keys as well. The volume keys may be mapped to a different button.

i use 9+power on stock kernel

I just tired this and it gets to the screen with a shovelling droid sign picture but is kind of stuck in there. I could probably do stuff to it from odin while it's in that mode but you said you were able to use arrow keys to navigate around? all I see is "downloading, do not turn off target"...

im pretty sure thats all the it does in download mode. Power sycle to reboot.

in recovery mode it will give you options and the volume buttons move up/down, power button is to select.

Yeah but looking through open source is like looking at a different system. None of the folders match up to whats on the phone. So we still need someone who has experience with Kernel's to know what to do.
