I use FoxFi on my Note 3 (Verizon). Today when I launched it, it said it needed to install a VPN client which required a lock screen (PIN or pattern) with no option to disable to lock screen. I have my apps locked with App Protector, I don't want a PIN or pattern on my lock screen.
Some one said that you don't need FoxFi to launch the Mobile Hotspot on Verizon, but mine doesn't work without using FoxFi. I despise mandated lock screens, I am rooted so I'm hoping there is another option available.
