Help Freak (of) a phone

Two days ago my SD card reader(slot) stopped recognizing sd cards, and today my Data will not shut off, I have done a master reset for both issues with no resolve, I am not rooted, nor have I dropped it, and no water damage, is there Internal problems? and if so do they happen to others?

Personally, my suggestion is that since you are not rooted, I would take your phone to at carrier owned store and have them look at it. Its sounds to me like there are some internal problems. Your phone might need to be replaced.

Alternatively, you can check out the section on the forms dedicated to your phone...HTC Amaze and see if someone else has experienced the problems you are having.

I have just about givin up on the Amaze, This will be my fifth replacement due to what seems to be a protrusion under the pixel board (only shows up when pressing on the screen) But T-Mobile did try to offer A Sensation 4G for a model replacement and said the only difference was the screen size and that I wouldn't even notice (praise Allah) oh how how I laughed, I asked if there were a way they could insure me a brand new model (untouched) instead of a refurb, but they insist it will be new or new like...They wouldn't even consider replacing it with a One S.

What a bunch of fail.

(end rant):afraid:

Hi all, I am now on my 5th exchange/replacement phone that TEAM MEAN Mobile has sent out to me for Manufacture errors, any way they are willing to replace my HTC Amaze 4G, with a couple other models and here are my choices Samsung Exhibit, Sidekick 4G, or a HTC Sensation, What should I do ??? stick with the Amaze 4G that just got ICS, or loose intrest in my phone all together and get a Samsung that i dislike so much, that I will then Abandon the android Community.

P.S. I am unsure who you are Company in Texas where all my replacements go to and come from. But For Realz? You have shipped me alone 2 DOA phones and 3 phones that went bad in the first week. Your sauce is Weak and so is your service. I hate you like Cartman.:vollkommenauf:

If you are looking to root, then the Sensation is the way to go. It's true that it is almost the same as the Amaze, and the dev community for that phone is huge. Lots of roms for it. Run through XDA and check the forums for it.

I've been with T-Mobile for 14 years, never a problem. My Amaze has run perfectly, first on Gingerbread now ICS. I love this thing.

Can't imagine how you could be having so much trouble.

Hey Crash, I can see how people like me do not ever have a problem with their store bought, online, and new in the box phone.

This all started when I lost my Perfect Amaze in the Ice hole I was fishing, that phone never had a problem for the 4 months I still had possession, It is the quality of Re-Furbed phones that are getting sent to me.

So, my 7th phone is a FAIL! (more dead pixels)

But here is what I am going to do (Advise is Welcome) Just starting today T-mobile is now offering the Samsung GS2 as a replacement device for the Amaze to customers with multiple replacements, so I said "YES SEND THE GS2" When I get the GS2 in two days it comes with a 30day trial period and this is how I will take advantage of the situation, I will be sending back my HTC Amaze in exchange for the GS2, however i do not like any thing Samsung, so I will also be sending it back to exchange again back to the Amaze, where as The exchange from the S2 back to the Amaze should get me Back to where I started from..... (A brand new still in the box Un-Re-furbished untouched Amaze 4G) .....crosses fingers.

A step down in phone quality, but the SGSII may be just the thing for you. Me, I'd get a fresh model, get it unlocked, sell it privately, and upgrade to/buy a One S. You might get more moolah for an unlocked SGSII, though.

FTW! brand new HTC Amaze 4G Black was sent to me yesterday my stomach has finally stopped turning.

FYI, T-mobiles retension department can be accessed through the regular Team Mobile Number "611" from your phone, although you do have to tell the directory (Cancel My Account).
