Free app for layout out graphics

This would be for PC or mac, not a mobile device. I just need to get some print outs prepared, and since this is not my speciality would really appreciate some help!

Not being sure what you need here, I'll recommend Libre.

Thanks Earlymon! So apparently Draw would be the the right one of these. Definitely will give this a try, seems like a good package, and haven't tried before. And I am a bit fed up with openoffice. Downloading right now, lets see how it works out. I need print ready files, do you know if I can save print ready PDFs from LibreOffice? The printer has certain file type requirements (http://print24.com/uk/) like colors, bleed and what not.

Will definitely take me a while to get used to this

Yeah, if you mean PDF/A Libre can certainly do it.
