Free battery&charger for purchases of G3 9/8-9/22 (and possibly earlier)

I've found that being an early adopter is a two-edged sword:

You usually miss out on temporary discount pricing & enticements such as this one.

Knowing this, most early adopters keep on lining up on opening day anyway.................... ;) :D

This promotion is tempting me to use one of my T-Mobile "jumps" and trade in my G2 for the G3. I'm concerned I would lose some of the battery longevity I count on from my G2, but this promotion would help. I still think I'd prefer a Samsung or Sony portable battery instead, to save the wear and tear from peeling off the back cover to replace batteries.

Thank you for this.. I was on the fence with the G3 and this pushed me over the edge. I have multiple cell phones and I was looking for something to replace my old Droid Charge. I've bought it last night and already submitted my forms. :)

I have a question for those that have had their free battery offer accepted:

On the offer form it states "Please upload your receipt and IMEI-HEX picture in one file" - what does this mean? Do I need to take a picture of both the box and the receipt together and send them that?

Also, I purchased (2) phones - one for myself and one for my wife - do I need to complete two separate promotion forms?

Any help is appreciated! :)

that's what I would do.

Obviously you need (2) forms. That said, if you want (2) rebates :)

I ended up just filling out one form for both phones. I combined both receipts (I bought them seprately) and a picture of the ends of both phone boxes into one PDF. I then uploaded it when I submitted the promotion form.

My phone was purchased 8/23 and they let me do the promo. Just call in and ask.

Chat with supervisor on phone, he said I will 100% get the deal

Thank you*for contacting us about the Free LG G3 Battery and Battery Charging Cradle Promotion.

We have received your*request*and are currently working on*processing it in the order it was received.Even though your purchase date is out of the promotion period, we will be happy to review and let you know of the submission status in the next 3-5 business days.

I received my notice that my submission has been validated and to look for shipping confirmation in the next few days. That's was pretty quick!

I ending up scanning my box and receipt in the same frame to get it in one shot.

I got a reply as soon as I finished filling out the form. E-mail said I'd get confirmation if I'm approved in 5 days, 3 days ago, so I'm eagerly waiting. Although it might be 5 business days in which case I've got 4 more days to wait. This seriously was a solid offer, and definitely got me to jump on the G3 without waiting to see what the Note 4 looked like, I think that was their plan. After reading reviews I thought i'd desperately need a 2nd battery, but my battery life has been insanely good. Right now today I've got 4 hours screen on time, and am at 32 hours with 3% still to go (and I didn't turn any battery saver stuff on untill 5%).

I scanned the box imei and my receipt (had to do it separate and cut and paste them together to get the lid on the scanner
to close on the receipt (it was hard to read from costco).

Exciting this is!
Thanks for the info Maine!!

I contacted them directly through the website contact page. I got the email back wanting more information because they are including me like others have gotten. I did not fill out the submission page for the promotion. They want a receipt for purchase and a excel based information form. My receipt shows purchase on 7/11.

I contacted them and got a reply with a Excel form to fill out. Filled out the form, submitted a photocopy of my receipt and UPC label from box for my two VZ LG G3's. I also sent them for the AT&T LG G3 that I bought for full price.

I received a response stating that they are reviewing my application. In about 4 days, I checked my submission ID and it was approved. I got an email a day later reconfirming that I was approved and that I should be on the lookout for shipping confirmation. I bought my VZ phones in end of July and AT&T phone beginning of August. All were before the eligibility period.

I thought I'd give an update.

I purchase mine on 9/17 inside the promotional period. I received this reply 5 business days later:
"
Thank you for submitting your request for the Free LG G3 Battery and Battery Charging Cradle Promotion. Unfortunately, we are unable to process your redemption for the following reason(s):

Insufficient proof of purchase receipt — uploaded image is not clear/readable
Processor notes: Please respond to this email with a clear image showing the complete purchase receipt, including purchase date, and a picture of the MEID label on the side of the LG G3 box. Thank you."

Even my half-blind mother could read all the numbers crystal clear on the box and the receipt. So, I called the number they provided and the only thing the guy on the phone could think was that I should try upping the resolution. So I bumped the scanner from 300dpi to 1200-2400dpi and scanned a separate image for receipt and box. I was going to include a 3rd image of the inside of the back of the phone, but that put me over the 20MB limit of LG's inbox. (Ironic, send higher resolution images, WAIT not that high). The only other thing I could think, is since I bought it at Costco, when you leave the store they mark your receipt with a sharpie through the item name, but it was light green marker and didn't obscure any of the numbers so it should be a non-issue.

I'm going to be pisssed if I don't get one, since I specifically rushed to buy it during the promotional period and it seems people who bought phones way before and even after might be getting one.

The guy on the phone said they should get back to me in 24-48 hours (not business days) so hopefully I'll get a reply this weekend. Maybe I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, that they were using some sort of automatic reader software and once a human looks they will be able to clearly read my receipt and imei #.

UPDATE: So crazy coincidence 15 minutes after I posted this on the forum, 12 hours after I e-mailed them. (Maybe LG actually follows these forums?)
I received this:
"
